XENTA at Cannes Yachting Festival 2018:new Remote Control for its Integrated Control Systems

A new engine Remote Control is being launched in Cannes, in addition to XENTA’s proven integrated steering system: remote maneuvering and docking is made easier than ever before.

XENTA is one of the most committed realities when it comes to electronics for the nautical user’s service. Its integrated guidance systems for motoryachts represent the development of a technology that, in addition to modernizing the boat, offers a new way of going to sea, more efficient, easier and at the same time able to not limit sensitivity and emotions to the neophyte as to the experienced sailor.

Ferretti, Azimut, Monte Carlo Yachts, Pershing, Princess, Sunseeker, Cerri… are only a few of the shipyards that have chosen XENTA as a partner for the development of integrated steering and maneuvering systems for some of their motor yachts and superyachts models, several of which are being seen for the first time at the Cannes Yachting Festival. In addition, this also includes the presence of XENTA.

Along with exhibiting its technology with a simulator capable of emulating the effectiveness and feeling of its systems, offers the world a preview of the new remote control, designed and studied to maneuver the boat in total freedom and safety, moving freely from bow to stern, better controlling all docking phases. The remote control makes possible to control the main engines at low rpm, but also to control the propellers, bow and stern thrusters, and the windlass.

The remote control has been designed to be extremely intuitive, a perfect interface between the boat and pilot, lightweight and with a high strength-to-weight ratio able to ensure strength, mechanical and thermal stability (operating temperatures from -25 ° C to +70 ° C). Among its significant features, there is the presence of a backlit panel, which allows its use even at night, and of the Stop function, which in the event of any anomalies, allows to return all the controls of the boat to a safe neutral state. Moreover, the remote control has been designed to float and this, in case of a fall in the water, allows an easy and quick recovery.
